ABOUT NATE ALLEMAN
For the first 15 years of my career, I worked with numerous operators in oil and gas basins across the country to solve a variety of regulatory and operational issues and to develop and implement internal processes and systems focused on streamlining operations and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. In the last 10 years, I have specialized in managing the planning and permitting of SWDs and related water infrastructure systems (recycling facilities, O&G landfills, evaporation, pipelines, impoundments, etc.). While this work has taken place in numerous basins, a majority of my time and energy has been focused on understanding the regulatory structure and processes in New Mexico and Texas and permitting SWDs in the Permian Basin. Through these efforts I’ve managed the permitting of over 150 SWDs across numerous states (NM, TX, LA, OK, etc.) and have testified as a regulatory expert in over 30 SWD-related cases.I enjoy working hand-in-hand with clients to develop solutions to their water and regulatory issues and am able to leverage the knowledge and relationships I’ve built over my career to collaborate with operators in the planning, permitting, and implementation of water infrastructure and regulatory compliance systems. Through active engagement in industry associations, fostering strategic partnerships, and the development of our own proprietary databases, I maintain a pulse on operational and regulatory trends, equipping our clients with unparalleled insights to build a competitive advantage in the dynamic oil and gas landscape.A few other specific industry projects I have experience with include supporting induced seismicity evaluations and litigation, assessing and resolving gas migration issues, developing emergency response procedures, serving as contract emergency response coordinator, reviewing and providing formal comments on proposed laws and regulations on behalf of industry, setting up clients as operators in numerous states, building efficient regulatory frameworks and processes for both new and large/established operators, and performing due diligence audits on assets ranging in size from a single SWD to oil and gas facilities (to name a few).
