Interface with all vendors as it relates to workers compensation claims. Including but notlimited to physicians, business agents/shop stewards, private investigators, attorneys,medical bill review providers, loss control specialist, regulatory agents, Medicare,underwriters/brokers, state liquidation offices, Washington Assigned Risk Pool (Labor & Industries), and Washington State guarantee fund.2. Administer all workers compensation claims in partnership with Risk Manager. Maintaincorporate workers comp claims files, legal discovery, regulatory filings, monitorsettlements, produce monthly claims statistical reports, coordinate return-to-work,Transitional duty placements with HR, Medical Department and Craft; work with Safetyto develop loss prevention programs; liaison between insurance carrier, outside vendors(rehabilitation counselors, personnel); monitor prolonged non-industrial leaves.3. Produces analysis and status reports detailing the level of risk associated with variousdepartments and functions in the company.4. Helps to design and develop risk mitigating plans and programs, policies and proceduresto neutralize and minimize effect of threats and reduce inevitable risks and losses.5. In partnership with the Risk Manager, administers the applications and management ofinsurance coverage including but not limited to Marine General Liability (ship repairerslegal liability, products and completed operations), Hull & Machinery, Vessel/ShipyardPollution, Property, Business Interruption, Auto and Excess/Bumbershoot policies.Works with Operations on need for Builder’s Risk coverage on specific new constructionprojects. Works with the Company’s broker on the placement of insurance coverages.6. Assist the Risk Manager with marine surveyors and property inspectors as needed forcompliance with Builder’s Risk and Property policies.7. Manages certificate requests and issuance. Review vendor certificates prior to filing.
