About Natasha Drane

Natasha serves as the General Services Director for Placer County. She most recently served for three and a half years as a Deputy Director of General Services at Sacramento County. In that role she oversaw a $1 billion Capital Improvement Plan, the maintenance and operations of ~6 million sq. ft. of county-owned facility space, including Sacramento International Airport, the delivery of capital projects with a team of professional architects and engineers, including a $42 million homeless shelter, and a team of professionals responsible for the acquisition and disposition of property, and leased property administration. She was promoted to DGS from the CEO\'s office in late 2022. She served nine years as the county\'s Governmental Relations and Legislative Officer, reporting to the CEO, and was responsible for all federal and state legislative advocacy efforts. Before the County, Natasha served as a lobbyist representing California cities with the League of California Cities. Her policy areas included labor and employee relations, such as Workers\' Compensation, the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, and other aspects of human resources law, as well as administrative services, such as the Ralph M. Brown Act, the Public Records Act, and election law. She worked with the association for 6 years.She has a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration, a Certificate in Collaborative Governance, and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Women’s Studies from California State University, Sacramento.
