Over 13 years of professional experience in providing strategic leadership and management of the day-to-day operations, investigations, education and policy compliance for a major Healthcare and Technology company, and the State of New Jersey. For the last 7 years, directed the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) through internal CMS Compliance Audit preparation and most recently the CMS Compliance Audit and lead in the development of investigative protocols and initiatives to reduce Medicare and Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse. Extensive experience writing, updating and enforcing policies and procedures applicable to Medicare, Medicaid and Private payer compliance; administration and review of contracts to ensure compliance with all internal policies as well as serving as Acting Educational Chairperson leading in the development of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse educational training opportunities for employees, consumers and providers.Past managerial experience includes over 5 years supervising staff in decreasing financial credits by identifying fraud related to customer credit; leadership of special projects which included creating and maintaining project documentation, facilitating project meetings and ensuring all participants were on schedule for completion of task assignments; and the implementation of scheduling requirements, policies and procedures and job descriptions for a 24x7 department. Additional,experience with the State of New Jersey Medicaid and a six year relationship with the North Carolina Division of Medical Assistance to respond and provide successful resolution to fraud cases.
