I’m a reporter on the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review/TribLIVE.com digital team, in addition to contributing to two daily Trib print newspapers — the Valley News Dispatch & Westmoreland/Greensburg Tribune-Review. I write stories, shoot and edit photo and video and plan packages/storytelling via various digital platforms for daily coverage as well as long-term projects and documentaries. After 12 years as a journalist, I cover a little bit of everything these days — health care, public safety, politics, muni/state government, nonprofits, breaking news — but especially enjoy watchdog/accountability journalism and delving into where policy meets people. Lately I’ve been digging into challenges confronting nursing homes during the covid-19 pandemic and localizing the 2020 presidential election for Western Pennsylvania readers.
