ABOUT NATASHA JOHNSON-GRIFFIN
I enjoy working with others and utilizing my background in mass communications and public health to create positive health outcomes. In May 2023, I graduated with my M.S. in Public Health and Nutrition. It is my passion to bring awareness and solutions to food security issues for the most vulnerable populations. In 2016, I was recognized with the President’s Volunteer Service Award for my dedication to volunteerism, advocacy, and contributions to my community. Since 2014, I have helped manage my family’s non-profit foundation and have been a national advocate and ambassador for Domestic Violence and Teen Dating Violence with organizations like Love Is Not Abuse, Safe Alliance, Break the Cycle, and Mecklenburg County Community Support Services. Recently, I was a participant in the NASA DEVELOP National Program as a member of the Environmental Justice team researching how to mitigate and reduce the risk for marginalized communities affected by disasters. I also loved my experience as a NASA Intern for the Capacity Building Program in NASA\'s Applied Sciences program based at Langley Research Center.I enjoy spending time outdoors in my garden, watching NBA basketball, learning new things, and spending time with family.
