In my capacity as Certification Chair, I am responsible for the administration and oversight of the MCDEM Certification Program. This includes ensuring adherence to established standards, guiding policy development, and maintaining the integrity and credibility of the certification process. I lead the Certification Committee in evaluating applications, verifying candidate qualifications, and making determinations regarding certification status.I also coordinate efforts to review and update certification requirements to reflect current emergency management best practices and professional competencies. By providing leadership and direction, I support the continued professional development of emergency management practitioners across Mississippi and promote consistency, accountability, and excellence within the field.
