ABOUT NATASHA GAUDIO HARRISON

Hi! I\'m Natasha. I\'m a certified Economic Developer by the Economic Developers Association of Canada, and by day I serve as Economic Development Officer in the Economic Development department at the County of Huron. I am also an experienced consultant specializing in economic development and workforce development, and I\'ve managed projects for a diverse range of communities and organizations. In early 2022, I became an accidental academic when I pursued my second graduate degree, a Master of Planning at the University of Guelph, during my maternity leave. I am endlessly interested in the intersections of land use planning, policy, community resilience and economic development. I love facilitating workshops, and speaking to stakeholders about their hopes and dreams for the future of their community. I believe in working collaboratively and making connections across sectors, regions, and disciplines. I also used to make a podcast, called Insight: Canada\'s Economic Development Podcast. I draw on a varied professional background in consulting, research, sales and marketing, financial services, arts and culture, advocacy/outreach, and events management. My educational background includes two interdisciplinary degrees: an Honours undergraduate from the University of Toronto where I majored in Canadian Studies and Urban Studies (with a minor in English), and a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University where I also received a Business and the Environment Graduate Diploma from the Schulich School of Business.
