I am a Partner and Head of Risk and Compliance at Laura Devine Immigration (LDI) where I run a business immigration team and am responsible for the business’ internal risk and compliance. Following qualification, first as a barrister in 2001 and then as a solicitor, I have specialised exclusively in immigration and nationality law.I advise on all areas of business and personal immigration to the UK as well as European free movement, with particular interest in complex sponsorship matters and prevention of illegal working and risk management strategies.I act for a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from individuals and start-up businesses to major multinationals. I manage some of the firm’s highest profile corporate clients, including international financial service providers, insurance businesses, exclusive fashion, retail and entertainment organisations. I also advise senior executives and high net worth individuals on their immigration options. Over the last few years, I have developed a niche practice in Armed Forces immigration categories, advising businesses contracted to a NATO force requiring immigration permission for its Air Force training personnel.I am frequently invited to present to clients and contacts at events across the UK and write on UK immigration for both the HR media and leading legal research provider, LexisNexis.
