ABOUT NATALYA GROKH

I’m a career diplomat and knowledge management leader, leveraging 20 years of global experience in project and program management, knowledge management, and economic policy to drive modernization at the U.S. Department of State. My diverse work history includes assignments in several countries, where I’ve supported Ambassadors and Consul Generals in East Asia and Africa with policy advice and practical solutions. Currently, I lead projects and programs for the Department’s largest logistics platform, supporting $25 billion in annual transactions across 260 overseas posts. My work focuses on safeguarding institutional knowledge, modernizing operations, and reducing contractor dependencies—delivering measurable cost savings and greater transparency.In recent years, I oversaw the global deployment of a large-scale IT platform for managing all federal grants. Through this effort, my teams and I delivered innovative solutions in data analytics, compliance, and AI readiness, helping the Department operate more efficiently and adapt quickly to new challenges. I also championed knowledge management as a top priority to Department leadership, spearheading the establishment of the Department’s Knowledge Management Program and Strategy.I’m passionate about fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, building communities of practice, and mentoring the next generation. As a past board member, founding organizer of professional affinity groups, and mentor at my alma mater, I drive initiatives that provide professional development resources, networking opportunities, and mentoring support to empower young women and working parents.Fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese, I am dedicated to advancing organizational excellence through strategic knowledge and project management.
