ABOUT NATALIE TASHE
Natalie Tashe is a registered Professional Agrologist and Project Manager with expertise as a regulatory specialist and terrestrial scientist. She is a subject matter expert in soils and reclamation and has led environmental projects throughout Canada and the United States. Natalie is a self-motivated and effective leader/communicator of mulit-disciplinary teams. She is on the Program Advisory Committee for ecological restoration jointly run through Simon Fraser University and British Columbia Institute of Technology. She has been an industry sponsor for research in mining and has worked with students in understanding landform design for wildlife use, soil biocrust formation on tailings, and setting up a program to understand mine water treatment in constructed wetland systems and natural wetlands. Natalie has also been involved with the Society of Ecological restoration is setting global ecosystem standards in mining. Natalie has been one of the lead scientists involved with closure and reclamation planning, and soils and terrain for baseline and environmental assessments, rare plant surveys, and permit applications in the energy, mining and the oil and gas industries. Natalie is trained in reclamation suitability, forest and agriculture land capability, soil acid sensitivity, heavy metal loading from air and water in soil, soil compaction, and erosion risk. Natalie has also worked on mitigation plans including soil handling in forested and agricultural environments, revegetation design, sediment and erosion control, reclamation plans, environmental monitoring, and invasive plant management. Specialties: Natalie consistently delivers on the strategic objectives of environmental responsibility; client expectation for quality; schedule; budget; financial performance for project specific targets; and operational and business unit expectations. Natalie works closely with engineers, construction crews, First Nations, stake holders and various scientists.
