ABOUT NATALIE PLATON
My goal as an elementary teacher is to guide my students to discover and build their own passions, become leaders, and grow their love of learning. As a child struggling with a speech impediment and shyness, I experienced firsthand how educators can truly transform the lives of their students. My love for teaching grew from my experiences planning large-scale service projects for underserved communities and working in schools of various demographics throughout southern California since 2011. I saw firsthand the gap between schools with resources and schools without, and I am passionate about providing all students with a high quality education no matter their background. In 2020, I started coaching resident teachers, and I enjoy sharing with aspiring teachers my knowledge and experiences so that they can learn how to build their own systems and thrive in the classroom.
