ABOUT NATALIE TALPAS
Natalie S. Talpas is PNC Bank’s Executive Vice President, Head of Retail Digital and Emerging Payments Strategy. In her current role, Talpas and her team of experienced professionals are responsible for the company’s digital and emerging payments strategy, digital experience design, web accessibility, insights and optimization, consumer-permissioned data exchange, and open banking. In addition to her current responsibilities, she recently led the BBVA USA customer integration for digital, converting customers for their use of PNC Online Banking the PNC Mobile app. An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Talpas joined PNC in 2011 and has served in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility. She served as vice president and senior manager in digital product management where she spearheaded an enterprise initiative to implement and enable digital delivery of customer servicing communications. Talpas also served as vice president and senior risk manager in operational risk management supporting new technology development in retail online and mobile banking channels, social media, corporate marketing, and workforce mobility by partnering and advising with product managers and related risk organizations. Talpas is a staunch supporter of customer data security and privacy and is a board member for Financial Data Exchange, an organization dedicated to unifying the financial sector around a common standard for the secure and convenient access of permissioned consumer and business financial data. She is also a board member for Akoya, which serves as a secure utility for the industry to empower individuals to share their data with fintech apps using their financial institution’s existing online portal. Born and raised in The Steel City, Talpas is a Pittsburgh Pirates (Go Bucs!) season ticket holder, an avid runner, and a mother of two young boys. She’s extremely passionate about her local community and is involved with several non-profit organizations. Talpas is a board member for Gwen’s Girls, a member of Leadership Pittsburgh XXVII cohort, and a member and former co-chair of the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s Bridges Society. She also serves as a developmental youth sports coach in her community.
