ABOUT NATALIE INGALLS
I\'m a musician, manager and journalist working with and in support of other musicians. I\'ve been able to combine my passions for independent music, live events and radio into my work, including my current role as the Radio Promotions Coordinator for Secretly Group and manager for the indie rock band Six Foot Blonde. My love for radio and audio journalism began at WIUX, IU\'s student radio station. I created liners, bumps and PSAs for the station, winning Best Promo Series as the Radio Production Director at the IBS Awards my sophomore year. I interviewed over 40+ local and touring bands on 99.1 FM through my show Growing Pains, and eventually served as the station manager my senior year, where I oversaw the first ever Pledge-A-Thon, a 24-hour live broadcast fundraiser. While in Bloomington, I remotely ran the social media accounts of a D.C. venue and several bluegrass/country acts through FAM, postered and sold merch for The Bishop, toured and recorded an album with my band Prairie Scout, and interned for Secretly Group, where I planned and hosted two art/record markets. I graduated with a degree in audio journalism in 2024, editing in-depth features, podcasts, and bite size liners published through WFIU, Paradiso Media, Secretly Society, the IU Media School, and WIUX. After graduation, I helped produce a podcast with Laurie McRobbie and the Luddy Center for AI and hosted All Things Considered five days a week on WFIU.
