Lead strategic planning and implementation of organizational growth, developing new initiatives beyond CPI’s original portfolio of land use to support strategic areas of action including just transition, sustainable agriculture, financial instruments, climate finance, property rights, energy, transportation, and sustainable infrastructure.• Build partnerships with federal and state government leaders, private sector representatives, and nongovernmental organizations to secure buy-in for evaluations, ensure the relevancy of analysis, and promote the integration policy recommendations. • Work with executive director and lead researchers to identify, plan, and develop strategic research agendas in the Amazon and Cerrado regions of Brazil; ensure research streams are financed and sufficiently supported; direct policy and communication outreach to raise visibility. • Build outreach and engagement strategies for CPI’s areas of work to ensure impact; manage Brazil’s communications team.• Collaborate with the global Senior Leadership Team to build CPI’s theory of change and develop actionable plans to achieve its mission; pursue cross-office collaboration opportunities; identify and discuss operational and strategic activities and prepare recommendations for the Executive Team.• Develop annual budget and operating plan to support the program; monitor cash flow and expenses and provide regular financial reports to the executive director, the chief finance officer, and funders.• Expand and implement a program evaluation framework to assess program strengths and identify areas of improvement.• Supervise research, program, and operational staff; develop and implement human resource policies, procedures and practices for the Brazil office; oversee performance management of staff.
