About Natalie Engler
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with experience working in medical, university, and community-based settings. Currently I have a private practice in Framingham where I work with adults of all ages. My approach is holistic, focusing on the mind, body, energy, and spirit, as well as the effects of structural oppression - and I’m continually learning in each of these areas. I am Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. I incorporate mindfulness and compassion-based therapies, IFS-informed parts work, and movement practices, such as Yoga and Somatic Experiencing, into my sessions. I find that integrating these approaches can open a doorway to deep and compassionate inner listening, which allows my clients to access their innate healing capacities and discover new ways of thinking, feeling, and being vibrantly human. I also utilize Energy Healing modalities that help people to clear imprints from their own past, as well as from prior generations, that often unconsciously govern relationships and behaviors. These modalities include Reiki (Level 2), Advanced Integrated Energy Therapy (IET), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) – also called “tapping” – and Systemic Family Constellations. In my past career I taught yoga and wrote about and science and medicine. I love my work and I am passionate about helping the people I support to heal and become the best and most authentic versions of themselves.
