Audit rationale: A medical handover sticker was introduced in 2015 to facilitate safe handover of high dependency unit (HDU) patients. This comprised a comprehensive list of actions to be completed in order for safe handover of often complex HDU patients to other wards in the Bristol Children’s Hospital. The sticker contained 14 boxes, each of which could be filled with a tick or cross or ’N/A’ in the box and there was also space for free text. Use of this sticker was audited in 2019, and report uploaded to AMaT (PGENMED/CA/2021-22/03 - Paediatric High Dependency Unit Handover - previously registered as 5395), Stickers subsequently re-designed by JC and re-audit planned.
