Line Manager responsibility for the team which include resource planning, task allocation and performance reviews, whilst providing training and support across the team.• Acting as first point of contact for assigned strategic customers and escalations from team, via phone / email / other methods of communication in relation to specific credit control issues or queries.• Ensuring all members of team provide a prompt, efficient and courteous service consistently and professionally at all times.o Ownership of Dunning / Legal process ensuring accounts are put on stop and sent legal in timely manner to ensure minimisation of customer risk.o Reviewing aged items and propose Bad debt write offs as requiredo Forecasting – within month and month end, highlighting issues and identifying action plans to resolve any issues.• Management of the Month end Process – locally with collection specialists and Brown Brothers finance teams, along with Brno Cash allocation team as required.• Management of the relationship with Brno relationship (shared service centre)- specifically in relation to Master Data and Cash Allocation in relation to PPG UK Industries• Ensuring team and self, maintain accurate and up to date customer details and account records within ERP systems. Makes adjustments, handles queries and resolves problems within company guidelines and Credit policies.o Ascertain / log and progress queries in relation to relevant PPG departments (eg. Customer Services, Technical and Commercial teams)o Liaison with CBO in relation to held orders and credit limits.• Participation in regular ledger reviews with Credit management team/SBU Mgt• Forecasting of Month end performance, reporting to EMEA Credit management on overdues, DSO and plans for clearance• SOX auditsBPI - A project lead on Dispute Management Process Adhoc projects - part of project team for implementation of ClientLink in the UK inc UAT
