ABOUT NATALIE FIERRO
As a JusticeCorps Intern at Bay Area Legal Aid, I provide legal assistance and support to low-income clients in various areas of law, such as housing, immigration, and family law. I am also a Legal Studies major at UC Berkeley, where I have learned about the theory and practice of law, as well as the social and historical context of legal issues. Additionally, I have gained valuable communication, teamwork, and student engagement skills as the Co-Director of External Affairs at the Latine Pre Law Society and Communications Intern at the Chicanx Latinx Student Development Office. In these positions, I have created newsletters, established relationships, and monitored events and resources for the Latine student community. My mission is to use my legal knowledge and skills to advocate for and empower marginalized and underrepresented groups, and to pursue a career in public interest law.
