ABOUT NATALIE DAVEY
I am a Producer, Creator and Educator. As Vice President and creative producer for Ceres Productions, I drive its storytelling mandate: to tell innovative, inclusive and deeply human stories. Inspiration arrives thanks in part to the creative conversations I\'m having with artists and authors on Ceres\' Reframeables podcast. As a thought leader in adult education I research and write about pedagogies of narrativity and care with articles published in the likes of the Review of Education, Pedagogy and Cultural Studies and the Journal of Aesthetic Education. I was the Executive Editor of the online feminist arts journal She Said Notes and my freelance writing can be found in mainstream publications like Chatelaine, Today\'s Parent and She Does the City. A former teacher and system leader in the Toronto District School board for twenty years, I have long been an advocate for alternative and experiential education in and beyond the traditional classroom space. I have helmed large scale cross-institutional conferences, bridging the K-12 world with higher education, and have taken those experiences forward as I have continued to build partnerships in creative fields. I hold a PhD in Education from York University. My recent book is Finding Joy: Radical Collegiality and Relational Pedagogies of Care in Education (Brill, 2023)You can learn more about my work through my newsletter (nataliedavey.substack.com and reframeables.substack.com).
