Provide direct services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children including intake and needs assessments for new and previous clients, crisis intervention, safety planning, domestic violence supportive services, life skills, relationship building, advocacy, parenting support, information, and referrals• Model and actively promote positive, nurturing interactions between adults and children in shelter• Serve as liaison between Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services DuPage and other agencies for clients• Perform administrative tasks such as, completing Releases of Information, and keeps record of surveys from clients such as, the Self-Efficacy Scale• Facilitate Life Skills programming workshops for adult clients, and provides in-the-moment life skills interactions with clients in shelter• Assist with training new employees on guidelines and procedures
