As a Transport Manager at GXO, I am responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of the National Distribution Centre ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and legal standards. With more than 8 years of experience in logistics and transportation management, I have successfully managed regional and national contracts, delivering cost savings, service improvement, and customer satisfaction. I have also contributed to the development and implementation of strategic plans, policies, and procedures to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the transport function. Some of the skills that I have applied and developed in my current and past roles include logistics management, transportation management, route planning, budgeting, forecasting, problem-solving, and communication.
