Oversee and support the Community and Behavioral Health (CBH) unit comprised of a multidisciplinary group of 12 FTE leading prevention, policy, and systems change initiatives in Behavioral Health (i.e, mental health promotion, substance use prevention, and suicide prevention), Commercial Tobacco, Healthy Beverage policy, School-based Health, and Youth Engagement- Provide guidance and direction on strategic planning efforts of the CBH unit, including aligning logic models, facilitating process improvement, and documenting management and governance, among other foundational activities- Facilitate team building and alignment across divisions within the health department- Key accomplishments include, but are not limited to: 1) Led the landmark Adams County Behavioral Health Services and Supports Assessment: A Blueprint for Action report. 2) Oversaw the distribution and financial management of $9 million American Rescue Plan Act dollars allocated to behavioral health strategies, including a steering committee, two notices of funding opportunities, and two requests for proposals. 3) Led the grant development and procurement of the second ACHD Opioid Abatement Grant that introduced “A Youth Engagement and Shared Risk and Protective Factors Approach to Substance Use Prevention” and “A Care Coordination and Case Management Approach to Substance Use and Substance Use-Related Harms”- Actively participate in strategic planning workgroups internally and externally to address the drivers of health and apply a collective impact model that works across sectors and systems- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidance centering equity and best public health practice.
