About Nat Harris
As a co-founder of Remix Organics Co, I have been leading the company\'s efforts to collect and divert organic waste from landfills for over a decade. We partner with farms producing compost and anaerobic digestion facilities producing renewable energy, putting waste to work. Prior to this, I co-founded Newport Biodiesel, Rhode Island\'s first commercial scale biodiesel production company, where I gained valuable experience in the waste organics industry. I also served as the board president of The Steel Yard, a non-profit organization that fosters the industrial arts and incubates small businesses in the creative revitalization of the industrial valley district of Providence, Rhode Island. I hold a certification as a compost operator from the University of Maine and have studied marine science at Sea Education Association. My passion is to create positive change through sustainable waste management and environmental policy.
