Tracked and analyzed federal legislation, amendments, budgets, committee hearings, and regulatory actions related to food security, disaster resilience, public health, and climate resilience to inform strategy and advocacy. Lead policy work for the Agriculture campaign which aimed to advancing climate-smart farming practices, expand access to healthy food in underserved communities, and strengthen food security against climate-related disruptions. Managed lobbying initiatives and conducted strategic outreach to congressional members and staff, analyzing proposed legislation and utilizing persuasive communication to secure cosponsors and build support for bills. Developed toolkits, model bills, policy briefs, and advocacy resources that equip coalition members to campaign effectively at the federal, state, and local levels. Supported state and local food policy efforts by aggregating food-related bills and policies from local and state governments, creating a centralized database, and sharing resources to inform advocacy and drive adoption of sustainable agriculture and food system reforms.
