ABOUT NASOS MAKRYTHANASIS
Nasos is an international law and public administration specialist with significant experience in external relations, international cooperation, project management and human rights. Prior to joining the International Organization of la Francophonie (OIF), he gained experience at the European Commission (European External Action Service and DG Budget) and worked as a lobbyist in Brussels. He was member of the Athens Bar Association for 5 years.At the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF), Nasos is a member of the Cabinet of the Secretary general. He assists the Chief of Staff in his daily work and is directly involved in the preparation of the missions of the Secretary General whom he accompanies abroad when necessary.He studied law at the University of Athens, holds a master’s degree in international public law and international organizations from Paris 1 – Pantheon Sorbonne, a master’s degree in European political and administrative studies from the College of Europe (Bruges Campus), a master’s degree in communication of public institutions from CELSA and a public administration diploma from the French National School of Administration (ENA).In addition to his native Greek, Nasos is bilingual in French, speaks fluently English and some German.
