ABOUT SYED ALISHAN NASIR
My goal is to support the development of innovative treatment methods in underserved communities with a strong interest in gastroenterology and IBD. I am an active member of the Crohn\'s and Colitis Foundation and advocate for increased awareness and funding for cutting-edge research in IBD. In addition, I am a member of the AGA’s Young delegates program, where I vocalize the need for better care provision to IBD patients. Currently, I am leading a retrospective study exploring the risk of developing pancreatic necrosis in patients with alcohol-induced pancreatitis and concomitant hypophosphatemia, intending to highlight the importance of phosphate repletion and preventing complications. I have more than a dozen publications with an emphasis on GI related topics and have been invited to present at ACG and AIBD. I am the recipient of the Outstanding Poster Presenter at ACG 2022 and the Outstanding PGY2 Internal Medicine Resident for Norwalk Hospital/Yale University Program. I am a part of the University of Vermont\'s clinical teaching faculty.
