ABOUT NASIR JAMA
I am a multi-disciplinary IT professional with experience across cybersecurity, network engineering, technical support, and applied AI development. My career began in broadband technical support, where I gained deep hands-on experience with diagnosing faults, understanding network infrastructure, and supporting customers through complex issues. I later progressed into more advanced network roles, including rural broadband engineering (FWA/GWA) and community-level network support.Alongside my technical roles, I built a strong foundation in cybersecurity through bug bounty research, vulnerability analysis, and secure-system testing. I continue to work part-time as a freelance bug bounty hunter, identifying security weaknesses, analysing attack vectors, and improving system resilience. I also hold formal cybersecurity training and previously served as President of the Cyber Security cohort at Sheffield Hallam University, helping lead peers, support learning, and build industry connections. In recent years, I expanded into software and AI engineering, using AI systems to accelerate development workflows, debug code, and build apps and websites from scratch. My ability to break down problems, explore multiple solutions, and rapidly prototype with AI has strengthened my understanding of modern software development. I regularly develop digital tools, create AI automations, and utilise AI-supported testing to identify bugs and optimise performance.Across all roles, I’m passionate about advancing in cybersecurity and AI engineering — especially ethical hacking, secure software design, and using AI to improve technical workflows, development speed, and problem-solving. My goal is to combine cybersecurity expertise with modern AI-driven engineering skills to build safer, smarter, and more efficient digital systems.
