About Nashad Alam
I build organizations, platforms, and strategies that unlock advertising revenue at scale — and I do it from zero.Over the course of my career at Amazon, I\'ve operated at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems, product strategy, and organizational leadership across some of the most complex and high-impact programs in the advertising space. I\'ve built two major organizations from the ground up, defined multi-year strategies that shaped how Amazon Ads and Amazon\'s publisher ecosystem operate, and driven commercial outcomes measured in the billions of dollars.I\'m deeply passionate about building platforms that create leverage — where the right architecture, the right data strategy, and the right team can unlock outcomes that wouldn\'t otherwise be possible. I believe the best platforms are built by teams that are technically excellent, deeply customer-obsessed, and empowered to think like owners. That\'s the standard I\'ve held myself and my teams to — and it\'s the kind of impact I want to keep driving.
Experience
Senior Manager, Amazon Ads, Publisher Identity, Targeting and Data Classification Management
May 2022 — Present · Seattle, WA, US
I was part of the founding leadership team — alongside Directors and a VP — that defined the overall vision and multi-year strategy for PubTech, the organization that provides ad monetization software and services for Amazon\'s 1P publishers including Prime Video, Twitch, and Alexa. I then took ownership of the DMX domain, bootstrapping the organization from scratch to 70+ people, including multiple engineering managers and Principal Engineers.DMX is built on a simple but powerful idea: publishers leave significant revenue on the table when they can\'t fully leverage their data. The program addresses that across three streams:Signals — Tools for publishers and partners to access 1P and 3P data, implement flexible data classification, curate packages, and execute activation strategies.Data Foundation — A single source of truth for processed data, delivering certified datasets, industry-standard metrics, and full data traces.SupplyTech Business Intelligence (STBI) & Sciences — Analytical and scientific capabilities that turn data into actionable insight.I created the vision and monetization strategy for DMX, drove adoption across Publishers, Sales, Account Managers, and Infrastructure teams, and contributed to incremental revenue growth in the billions. I\'m also driving the AI initiative for Targeting and own the offline workflow engine for PubTech\'s MCP Server.
