ABOUT NARSA C.

I had the good fortune to grow up in a household with both a computer and access to the Borland C++ IDE. I learned to type before I learned to write. I played many DOS games with my brother and the neighborhood kids while growing up. When I was 13 years year old, I stumbled across Dan Gookin\'s book C for Dummies while visiting the house of some family friends and my path was changed forever. I stopped being just a computer user and began the journey to becoming a software developer. I believe that the late Fred Brooks said it best:\"The computer scientist as toolsmith.\" I love using computers to enable things that were not previously possible, and I love using computers to make things that were previously very difficult much easier to do. I think that computers are a powerful tool and I love learning about how they work and using them to great effect.\"The magic of myth and legend has come true in our time. One types the correct incantation on a keyboard, and a display screen comes to life, showing things that never were nor could be.\" I believe that code quality is extremely important: It is important to write code that solves the right problem. It is important to write code that users feel comfortable using and can learn to trust. It is important to write code that developers can understand and allow their mental complexity budget to be spent solving useful problems. I try my best to develop software with respect, empathy, care, and pride for all those whose lives may be touched by the process, including my own. Accessibility and legacy are extremely important to me.
