Through my solid educational foundation I have developed technical skills to assist in the public (IFRS), private (ASPE), & non-profit (ASNPO) sectors. With over 7 years of experience within finance & accounting, I have provided audit, tax, bookkeeping & advisory services to small-medium businesses, entrepreneurs & NPOs across several diverse industries. Through my professional insight & advisory services, I have proven invaluable to my clients. My passion for academia led me to pursue teaching. Building on my experience as a UofT Teaching Assistant, I coached CPA students that successfully passed the CFE examination. I also had the opportunity to facilitate at KPMG\'s CFE bootcamp and lecture CFE candidates. I am also an advocate for financial literacy & believe that entrepreneurial success relies upon a sound understanding of business finances. My enthusiasm led me to spearhead financial literacy classes for youth entrepreneurs from minority communities.As an award-winning champion of civic & political engagement, I advocate for involvement within the democratic process as it is essential for minority representation within government. I aspire to be that representation through public speaking, engagement with major political parties & serving as a Board Member of The Canadian-Muslim Vote. I am an avid storyteller & enjoy writing screenplays in my spare time.
