ABOUT NARINDER RAYIT
I am a UK Electricity Supply Industry trained engineer, having joined Yorkshire Electricity Board as a Professional Engineering Trainee straight after school in 1973, where I was employed until 2001. I was employed in several roles, including protection, commissioning and testing, operational duties upto 132kV, Network Control Engineer SAP upto 132kV. From 20••••12 I was contracted within Eon and then Western Power Distribution within the Control team as a Switching Schedule Writer. From 20••••14 I was employed by Western Power Distribution as a Primary and Grid Protection Settings Engineer. Since 2014 I was employed by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks as a Design Project Manager responsible for preparing design projects for network reinforcement and expansion upto 132kV and upto c £3m I joined Future Utility Solutions Ltd in October 2017 as the Electrical Design Manager and Technical Advisor. For the company I achieved NERS Electrical Design accreditation with Lloyd’s Register, gaining FULL DESIGN status for cable systems and substations upto 132kV in March 2018. The company became a member of the Energy Assets group in May 2018, and is now branded Energy Assets Utilities. I now manage the Electrical Design team over several sites. While continuing in the established housing developments sector, I was able to use my experience to enter the major connections market. We have now delivered connections to STOR sites and major EHV customers.
