I have chosen an accounting and finance-based career because I have a strong natural intellect with numbers. In my early school days, I was deeply impressed by teachers and classmates who could remember numbers vividly and explain them in a logical and consistent manner. Perhaps that was the beginning of my fascination for numbers. I wanted to be a professional who would enjoy playing with numbers and make them as interesting as possible. My journey has led me from various accounting and finance related positions in India to my current managerial role in data analytics at Mesirow in Chicago.I am a senior financial executive with extensive experience developing and leading finance and accounting teams within the financial services and manufacturing industries. I am a leader with demonstrated expertise in using financial models, decision making, project management and people management skills to consistently achieve financial and operational success. I specialize in improving business processes and providing my business partners with timely and accurate financial data and analysis to help them achieve their goals and objectives. I am passionate about deriving new insights from raw data and developing strategies to act upon those insights.
