ABOUT NARESH MARTURI
I have been working in robotics and machine vision for over a decade, and I am currently the Deputy Director at Extreme Robotics Lab, one of the leading research centres in the UK for developing cutting-edge robotic technologies for industrial applications. I am also a Senior Researcher in Robotics at the National Centre for Nuclear Robotics, a multi-million-pound consortium of UK universities and industry partners, where I lead the vision-related work packages for addressing the global challenge of nuclear waste management and decommissioning.As a passionate researcher, I have made significant contributions to the state of the art in robotics and machine vision, and published over 50 high-quality research articles in major journals and conferences. I have also won the best paper award from for my work on telemanipulation for nuclear decommissioning, and developed APROS3, one of the first nanorobotics software enabling an electron microscope to be used for automatic robotic applications. I have supervised and mentored many PhD and master students, and collaborated with various academic and industrial partners. I am skilled in cross-platform object-oriented programming, computer science, computer vision, robot control, and machine learning concepts. My mission is to create innovative solutions for real-world problems using robotics and machine vision.
