I hold a Master\'s in Aerospace Engineering with Mechanical specialization from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from SJC Institute of Technology. My educational background includes coursework in Finite Elemental Analysis, Compressible Flow, Fundamental Aerodynamics, principles of Corrosion, CFD, Continuum Mechanics, and Renewable Energy Systems.I have gained valuable experience in the field through my roles, working as a Product Design & Development Engineering. Where I am responsible for new program development and launch of automotive components. I excel in reviewing component drawings for design suitability, and project management, and utilizing design software like CATIA V5 & V6, Corel DRAW, and AutoCAD.In addition to my professional experience, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Dayton, where I provided instruction in Fluid Mechanics and assisted students with design and analysis projects. I\'ve also completed internships at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, gaining experience in material testing, quality control, and process optimization.Furthermore, I\'ve demonstrated my engineering skills through various projects, including the analysis of dimple designs on golf balls and the development of a morphed airfoil. My proficiency includes 3D modeling, SolidWorks, CATIA, Abaqus, and ANSYS, among other design and analysis tools.I am also equipped with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and I hold certifications in CATIA V5 Surfacing, SOLIDWORKS 2022 Essential Training, SOLIDWORKS Surfacing, and Introduction to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.Overall, I bring a combination of academic knowledge, hands-on experience, and a diverse skill set to contribute effectively to Aerospace, Mechanical and engineering projects.
Experience
Product Design & Development Engineer
May 2024 — Present
Design interior auto parts[ FR COWL, FR STEP, CTR PLR LWR, RR STEP, RR PANEL] using CATIA V6/3D Experience as per customer requirements and DFMA for the Injection molding.•Perform draft analysis on the customer provided styling surface to ensure DFM for the Injection molding & as per the texture depth requirement on the parts. •Continues work with customer to design core side of the parts using 3D Experience and develop design-FMEA.•Apply engineering techniques to identify appropriate materials for new products during initial design stage. •Analyze tool design & CAE analysis on designed parts to ensure DFM in the injection molding. •Review check fixtures on designed parts to ensure DFA and customer critical datums requirement.•Design parts, jigs and 3D print using 3D printer for manufacturing and part inspection purpose. •Perform Process-FEMA on the new trial parts once after the new tool built to ensure parts meeting customer requirements. •Perform reverse engineering technique on 1st trail parts using Hexagonal 3D part scanner to meet customer IDS[Inspection Data Sheet] requirements. •Support internal and customer based change requests.
