Generating the process plan and develop cost models for various manufacturing process like Sheet Metal Stampings, Plastics, Machining, Forging, Castings, Hyd. Hose & Tubes, Weld & Paint assemblies and other processes. • Creating, modifying, and updating costing proposals for pilot projects. • Developing a material, machine, and operation libraries in a costing tool based on the project. • Supporting cost managers to define early top-down cost target per module based on customer value analysis and monitor the gap between the top-down target and bottom-up cost. • Organizing brainstorming sessions with the team, gathering ideas, analysing them and implementation of them also has real time tracking.• Responsible to create the gap analysis (product cost) w.r.t supplier quote by using should cost model and get negotiated with supplier.• Improve and implement sourcing and supplier selection strategy domestically and internationally.• Preparing cost-benefit analysis reports for management review and negotiate favourable contracts with selected vendors or suppliers.• Provide forecast cost for key models, Ensure BOM alignment with cost checking for ECO releases, Complete catalogue reviews to identify opportunities for cost reduction ideation.• Should cost modals preparation with (Costimator) different process scenarios, Tolerances Vs Cost analysis, process and machine options for value analysis.• Support engineering during the product development process with specific technology know-how for concept evaluations and product benchmarks.• Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the product a category.
