Leading a group of innovative functional/molecular genomics & human genetics scientists dedicated to augment the drug discovery pipeline with high quality target biology for Takeda core indications: Neuroscience, GI disorders, Immunology/Oncology, and Rare diseases. Group utilizes a broad array of cutting edge technologies in expression, regulation, human/patient genetics for TIDVAL & prioritization. Patient genetics follow up includes endogenous allelic expression imbalance, functional MOA discovery for risk and protective alleles, single cell/nuclei RNAseq from biopsies/post-mortem tissues, genome-wide CRISPR screens for target discovery including modifier allele discovery and synthetic lethality screens for additive/synergistic therapeutic MOAs.
