ABOUT NARANKAR S.
Narankar is a Shirley Scholar and Student at the University of Oxford. He is also leading the Safety and Governance Team at Oxford Artificial Intelligence and is Chief of Staff at OxbridgeAIx, an incubation start up whose finalists have raised in excess of $34 million. He brings with him an interdisciplinary background in Philosophy, Politics and Law to the study of a timely revolution: the artificial intelligence revolution. He assesses its myriad implications, advocating for innovative solutions and advancements, both through qualitative and quantitative methods.His current research lies at the intersection of philosophy, politics, law, and artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on perceived consciousness in AI systems and the effects of conversational, social, and embodied AI on the mind and society, within the field of human-computer interaction (HCI).
