Rangoli Radio is a community radio station that serves the Hindu community in Yorkshire. We are a community interest company, established at the height of the pandemic in October 2020. To date, we have trained 27 voluntary radio presenters who entertain and educate a wide range of listeners. The Covid-19 Pandemic heightened loneliness for many people and our primary aim is to connect with people who need support. We reduce social isolation for elderly listeners by providing information about community events and the range of support available to them. We also reach out to younger listeners, giving them a sense of attachment to the Hindu culture and helping them to reach their full potential. We are an inclusive organisation that celebrates and values diversity, engaging with people within Yorkshire, the UK, and across the world.Our internet-based service ( https://rangoliradio.com/listen-live ) was launched on 15 August 2021.
