Lead Facility Security Officer for Parsons Government Services in Huntsville, AL, overseeing all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) in support of DoD, DIA, and MSIC contracts. My duties include personnel, physical, and information security management, as well as classified contract support and daily security operations.Key responsibilities include- Leading, guiding, and mentoring a team of six outstanding security specialists- Managing all security operations related to access control, classified information safeguarding, and SCIF operations- Conducting security self-inspections, physical security surveys, and threat/vulnerability assessments- Preparing for and interfacing with DCSA during audits and inspections (recently achieved a \"Commendable\" rating)- Leading and conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions- Overseeing access control for Closed and Restricted Areas and maintaining security systems- Managing security databases including SIMS for clearance tracking and document control- Supporting personnel security processes using DISS, e-QIP, and related systems- Maintaining COMSEC accountability, including keying material and secure communication equipment- Leading internal self-inspections, physical security surveys, and threat/vulnerability assessments to proactively mitigate risks- Coordinating with leadership to implement security requirements across all phases of classified contracts.I interface regularly with DIA, MSIC, and DCSA representatives and serve as the primary advisor on all matters related to security compliance at the site.
