As an NSTEM Education Specialist, I support two key initiatives under NASA’s Minority University Research and Education Project (MUREP): the MUREP Institutional Research Opportunity (MIRO) and the MUREP Aerospace Academy (MAA). In this role, I help drive impactful STEM education efforts by managing grant processes, supporting awardees, and ensuring alignment with federal compliance standards. Coordinate award management activities, including documentation, compliance reporting, and SOPs in accordance with NASA federal grant regulations. Serve as a liaison between NASA program officers and institutional partners, ensuring timely deliverables, budget alignment, and contract compliance. Track student engagement and research progress, analyze program impact metrics, and develop internal/external dashboards using Excel. Provide technical assistance and guidance to awardees, monitor monthly reporting, and ensure alignment with proposal goals and funding requirements. Support proposal review processes and assist in drafting Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs) in line with NASA guidelines.Through these efforts, I help foster equitable access to STEM education and research opportunities, strengthening the pipeline for underrepresented students in aerospace and related fields.
