ABOUT NAOMI HOFFMAN
As a software engineer on the front-end platform team for the Capital One website, I develop and maintain the website’s front-end architecture. My experience using Angular has enabled me to create user-friendly designs and translate them into crisp code that delivers thoughtful experiences to millions of customers. I have worked alongside our web team to determine customer needs, brainstorm solutions, present work to stakeholders, and develop and optimize live platforms. I also have a passion for education and social good. I facilitate Capital One\'s Coders Live Program, which provides a coding experience for middle school students from underrepresented backgrounds. Previously, I taught a computer science class for high schoolers, creating the curriculum from scratch and empowering them to use their creativity and stories. I also helped a non-profit to improve their data collection and analytics.I have a BS in Computer Science and Economics, with a minor in Data Science, from Clark University. I participated in my first hackathon there, and won the SEC Clean Transportation Challenge and the Google Cloud Award for building an app that shows the benefits of switching to electric vehicles. I am always eager to connect and learn from others who share my interests and values.
