Because professional competence is critical to being able to give great advice, I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant in 2008, and constantly strive to stay current with continuing education. I have worked for over 28 years as a Financial Advisor, and 6 years as an IRS tax auditor. I have also helped business owners to prepare for the sale of their business using advanced tax planning strategies. I have a real passion for helping people, and along with my many volunteer efforts in the community, I am always looking for a better way to do things. In 2009, I left the large wire-house world to open an independent firm through Raymond James where there is no corporate pressure dictating what clients I can work with, or what investments I should recommend. Along with managing investments in-house, as a CFP® practitioner, I also have the option to work with clients on an hourly fee basis.
