My path didn\'t follow a straight line, and that\'s exactly what prepared me for industry. At 13, I was up at 5 a.m. training until 7 p.m, eventually becoming a National Champion athlete. Those years taught me how to perform when everything\'s on the line, split-second decisions, holding teammates accountable, and pushing through when exhausted. Balancing nationals with board exams meant studying on trains between competitions; it built the discipline to manage high-stakes schedules without dropping the ball.After graduation, I spent two years in a hospital during COVID, handling patient interactions and reviewing test reports daily. Seeing patterns in lab data, spotting inconsistencies, and communicating results under pressure sharpened my attention to detail and comfort with numbers in real, high-stakes settings.Nights were for reading, everything from literature to self-help to marketing books to finance books that started shifting my focus. That curiosity led to content writing internships, then a role at a social media agency. There, I saw firsthand how weak analytics and unclear financial tracking held campaigns back. I started digging into the concepts myself, questioning processes, and pushing for better ways to measure outcomes. It clicked: I wanted to work where data drives strategy, not just supports it.That\'s why I\'m at NALSAR now, building structured knowledge in finance, analytics, and business decisions with professors who challenge us to think critically. My mix of experiences gives me an edge: I know how to stay calm in uncertainty, analyze messy information quickly, improve inefficient systems, and work well in teams facing real pressure.Open to finance internships in analysis, strategy, or related areas.
