Nandinee Phookan is the principal of NANDINEE PHOOKAN ARCHITECTS (NPA) which she founded in 1996. NPA is certified as a MWBE by the city and state of New York, and as an 8(a) firm by the US Small Business Administration.Nandinee’s broad interest in the application of design thinking is reflected in the firm’s portfolio of projects ranging from urban design, architecture and interior design to furniture, products and graphics. NPA’s projects have been featured in several publications and recognized by its clients and peers.IMAKE STUDIO, a design studio affiliated with NPA that explores design thinking through research and development of projects and products was launched in 2009. IMAKE STUDIO was the recipient of an ASID Top Pick Award at the 2010 Architectural Digest show.
