About Nandan Rao
At Avalara, I\'ve spent the last four years at the forefront of building the world\'s first Global Compliance Cloud platform. My core focus has been on designing and implementing secure, scalable Identity and Access Management solutions that serve as the foundation for our entire compliance ecosystem. I\'ve also played a pivotal role in enabling the organization\'s AI transformation, including the development of Agentic-AI solutions to enhance our core compliance capabilities.Drawing on my expertise in cloud computing and IoT, I’ve been instrumental in creating a next-generation global e-Invoicing offering that ensures operational efficiency and compliance at scale. A significant part of my work has also involved helping to scale the world\'s fastest tax calculation engine.My experience also includes shaping the architecture and security of a large-scale Industrial IoT system during my time at ABB. In that role, I led cross-functional collaborations to secure our digital landscape through trusted execution environments, TPM integration, secure communication, the very first PKI roll out for Industrial-IoT use cases and robust cloud authentication frameworks. I am passionate about proactive security, building it directly into the technology stack to protect an organization\'s most critical digital assets.
