I am pleased to share that the Board of Directors of the Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA) has elected me as Vice Chairman for the next two years.In this role, I look forward to contributing to the growth and advancement of Technical Textiles in India. A key priority will be establishing an ITTA Student Chapter along with a “Library of Technical Textiles”—a resource centre supported by our 500+ manufacturing members, where students and researchers can access fibres, yarns, and fabrics to support both academic and applied research.Through ITTA, we will also engage with senior professors, scientists, and industry leaders—across India and globally—who can mentor and guide the next generation on emerging opportunities in advanced fibres and fabric innovations. At the same time, we are committed to supporting overseas companies that wish to bring high-quality products to India.Our vision is clear: to stop the inflow of sub-standard products, bridge the gap between industry and research institutions, and build a stronger ecosystem for technical textiles in India.
