Working here as part of my graduation project, where I am contributing to designing their Summer Collection, including research, developing concepts, designing and refining designs, and overseeing the process from sketch to final production and photoshoot. My role also involves establishing connections with multi-designer stores to explore collaborations and retail opportunities, ensuring the collection reached wider markets.Additionally, I am also focusing on consumer relations, interacting directly with customers to understand their preferences and address concerns related to products and services, allowing me to bridge the gap between design creativity and customer-centric strategies, offering insights into both the creative and operational sides of fashion retail.

ABOUT NANDANI LUNIA

I am a passionate and driven fashion design student at MIT Institute of Design, Pune, with a strong appreciation for traditional Indian craft and techniques. My vision and work focuses on blending cultural heritage with modern aesthetics to create sustainable, contemporary, and artistic fashion solutions. I specialize in designing unique fabrics and garments, showcasing intricate craftsmanship and modern stitching techniques that bring out stories of heritage with a modern twist. I have been involved in designing garments, styling, makeup, and art direction for a number of magazine shoots and multiple short films, while providing visual storytelling and aesthetic direction. Further, I followed standard design process to create silhouettes, surface designs and accessories, explored embroidery sampling, and developed macramé and crochet patterns for a variety of ensembles. Additionally, on the entrepreneurial side, I founded NURA in 2023, an authentic crystal jewelry line. My work reflects a commitment to sustainability, integrating eco-friendly techniques and materials to promote ethical fashion. From leveraging digital tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for design renderings to experimenting with textiles and surface ornamentation, I aim to redefine Indian craft in the global market.
