About Nandan Kumar

I am Ph.D. in Population Studies with 5.5 years of experience in the area of M&E. I have an interdisciplinary academic and research background and therefore have exposure to a wide array of issues related to public health, livelihood and human development and also relevant indicators on which the progress, outcome and impact shall be reported. I have sufficient experience on designing monitoring framework, tools of data collection, administering primary survey while adopting appropriate sampling strategy (using Epi info), using data validation checks, data analysis using advanced statistical software packages like SPSS and STATA, making fact-sheets based on key indicators, scientific writing and preparation of programmatic documents. I can also apply the qualitative tools like rapid impact assessment, in-depth interview of stakeholders, case study and highlighting key learning and best practices of a project. I have worked with prestigious organizations like TISS (Mumbai), IIT Powai (Mumbai) and IIPS in projects funded by the government, corporates and International Development Organizations. I have strong commitments and sense of fulfilment towards my profession, I am empathetic, self-reflective and enjoy working with the team spirit. I also enjoy travelling extensively and meeting people in the process of gathering evidence.
