As Program Manager for Entrepreneurship and New Ventures at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I support initiatives that drive innovation, commercialization, and new venture creation across the university and the broader regional ecosystem.I help manage programs like the Chancellor’s Innovation Fund, a annual fund dedicated to supporting faculty with commercializable intellectual property, and UTK’s Regional NSF I-Corps program, where teams are trained to embrace a customer-centric approach to innovation.My role involves coordinating cross-campus partnerships, engaging with industry and ecosystem stakeholders, recruiting academic innovators, and managing communications, outreach, and operations for our entrepreneurial programs. I’m also passionate about broadening participation by supporting inclusive innovation and championing underrepresented founders.I truly find happiness and energy in connecting with others, whether they’re friends, strangers, or just someone passing by. We’re all on this train of life together, and we can’t do it alone. The more good people on board, the better.Originally from Brazil, Tennessee has become my home in the U.S. I’m proud to help grow this state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
